Corporate Profile
In 1964, the engineering and construction firm Daniel International Corporation (now Fluor Corporation) founded today’s Daniel Corporation to manage internally owned real estate. This real estate arm soon broadened its scope to include acquisition and development of investment properties. In 1986, the senior management spun off Daniel Corporation into a privately held corporation.

In addition to our main office in Birmingham, Daniel has a regional office in Atlanta and Jacksonville to help serve markets across the Southeast and the Mid-Atlantic.

Administration
Daniel Corporation’s administration group maintains the ongoing financial operations of the various Daniel companies and is responsible for corporate finance, accounting and investor relations.

Corporate Finance:

• Assists in evaluating project feasibility
• Prepares long-range corporate cash flow and income forecasts
• Researches tax implications of proposed projects
• Coordinates the use of outside tax professionals
• Prepares Daniel’s tax returns and entity filings
• Supervises cash management
• Manages company credit

Accounting
The accounting group provides a variety of corporate and asset- and property-management accounting services utilizing its expertise in accounting, tax and financial planning. Managers have extensive accounting backgrounds in real estate–related activities, including development and construction cost accounting, financing, banking and investment expertise, as well as prior experience with public accounting firms. Senior managers hold the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. The accounting group is an integral part of the financial decision-making process when it comes to future operations, property renovations and financial forecasts.

Investors
The Administration Group handles all issues involving limited partners, the maintenance of all files for individuals and firms who participate in Daniel-sponsored real estate ventures, and coordination and distribution of tax returns and documentation, as well as audited financial statement preparation and distribution.
