Daniel Corporation Taps Pat Walters to Head Alabama Commercial Development Division

Birmingham, AL, January 24, 2008- Daniel Corporation announced today that Pat Walters has been named Senior Vice President of the Alabama Development Division. Walters, a twenty-two year veteran of the company, will be responsible for the management of Daniel’s commercial development activities throughout Alabama. Walters was most recently, Senior Vice President of Asset Management for the company. Chris McDuff will assume Pat Walters duties as Vice President of Operations which includes overseeing the operations related to the management and leasing of all Daniel properties. Both Walters and McDuff will report directly to Daniel Corporation President, Chris Brown.

Walters fills a role previously held by Charles Carlisle, who is leaving Daniel to take an ownership role with a development firm in Nashville, Tennessee. Carlisle was with the company for twelve years and managed the Commercial Development division during his tenure.

Walters joined Daniel in 1986 and has served as Vice President Asset Management and as Regional Director. Prior to joining Daniel, Pat was a Vice President with Brentwood Properties. He is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) and is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He holds an Alabama real estate broker's license and serves as Broker of Record for Daniel Realty Services. Walter’s current professional and civic associations include: Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Local and National Chapters, Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and the Board of Realtors, Local and National Advisory Committee.

McDuff joined Daniel in 2004 as Regional Director and was promoted to Vice President of Operations in 2005. Prior to joining Daniel, McDuff worked with Harbert Realty Services and Colonial Properties Trust. He attended Daytona Beach Community College and is a veteran of the United States Navy and Army Reserve. McDuff is a Certified Property Manager (CPM®), Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA®), Association Management Specialist (AMS®), CCIM Candidate, and holds an Alabama Real Estate Salesperson license. His current professional and civic associations include: Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) Birmingham, Southern Region, and International, Institute of Real Estate Management, Community Associations Institute, and the Alabama Association of Realtors.
