$32 million apartment complex slated for Bartram Park
In another signal that development is spreading deeper into southern Duval County, Birmingham, Ala.-based Daniel Corporation confirms that it intends to develop a $32 million, 380-unit apartment complex on almost 34 acres in Bartram Park, along Bartram Park Boulevard in Jacksonville, Florida.
Daniel Corporation Senior Vice President Charles Carlisle said the complex's working name is Bartram Park Apartments. It would be Daniel's first project in Jacksonville, and Carlisle said the company is considering more.
Plans show 26 apartment buildings along with a clubhouse and a maintenance building. The project will comprise 18 three-story buildings and eight two-story "carriage unit" buildings, which are townhouses with attached garages.
Each of the three-story buildings will have six attached garages for rent on a first-come, first-served basis. Rental rates have not been determined for the one, two and three-bedroom units.
Construction is scheduled to begin in October and the first units and clubhouse available in early summer 2004. The time frame depends on completion of the interchange at Interstate 95 and St. Augustine Road, which should be finished in spring 2004.
Bartram Park apartments will be designed with an Old St. Augustine theme and will include walking trails, a canoe launch and a 6-acre central lake.
Daniel Corporation develops office, commercial and residential projects in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.
