Daniel Corporation has developed projects for its own account, in joint venture with major institutional investors, and for fee development. In addition to our development capabilities, Daniel provides fee management and leasing services to third-party clients.

Land Development
Daniel Corporation has extensive experience in the ownership and development of large land tracts with multi-use development capabilities. Historically, control of land has been a key component to successful long-term development opportunities.

Residential Development
Daniel's residential developments all share a commitment to the communities where they are located. This focus can be seen in our advanced design concepts and our team efforts to preserve the natural environment.

Daniel Corporation has developed approximately 6,000 residential lots in the past 30 years, mainly concentrated in the Southeast. Daniel’s premier residential development, Greystone, is a 3,000-acre community located outside Birmingham, Ala. Greystone features two championship golf courses, one of which was voted the top Senior PGA Golf Event by Sports Illustrated.

Senior Housing
Since 1967, Daniel Corporation has been a pioneer in the development, ownership and operation of locations servicing the elderly.

The explosive growth in demand for high-quality retirement alternatives has created numerous opportunities for Daniel to develop and operate innovative senior-living facilities. Daniel has developed sites ranging from a 128-bed skilled-nursing care complex to a $41 million, 26-acre continuing-care retirement community including 50 garden homes, 120 independent living units and 120 assisted-care units, complete with supporting amenities.

Based on this foundation, Daniel entered into a $100 million financing program with the Retirement Systems of Alabama in 1996 to develop and operate high-quality senior-living facilities throughout the state of Alabama. Two developments under this program were completed in 1999.

Mixed use
Several of Daniel’s most notable accomplishments in recent years have been mixed-use projects aimed at revitalizing urban and suburban neighborhoods.

As many communities face traffic gridlocks and limited potential for new growth, more and more residents are longing for the “new urbanism” approach of blending the amenities of suburban life into urban areas.

Capitalizing on our experience in commercial office, for-rent and for-sale residential and small- and large-scale land acquisitions, Daniel is involved in several mixed-use project developments. We have partnered with highly experienced specialists for the retail segment of the development, while maintaining control of the overall project. Currently, these developments include various mixes of mid-rise and high-rise commercial office and residential over retail in urban settings and large-component Planned Urban Developments (PUD) in suburban locations.
